You can choose from many languages such as English, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Swedish or Ukrainian.

German Semester Courses
We are offering general German language courses for the levels A1 to C1. In addition, you can choose specialization courses and courses for specific purposes (e.g. Grammar practice from level B1 onward or language proficiency from level B2 onward).

Preparatory Language Courses for students of Romance, Slavic and Translation Studies
In order to prepare students for the language education of Romance, Slavic and Translation Studies, we offer courses for French, Italian, Spanish, B/C/S, Russian, Slovenian, Arabic, Austrian Sign Language, Turkish and Hungarian this winter term.

Intercultural Dimensions and Russian Grammar
The course "Intercultural Dimensions" will be offered for three languages in the winter semester of 2022/23: B/C/S, Russian, and Slovenian. The course is concerned with increasing your competences in the areas of listening, audio-visual comprehension, speech and writing. Furthermore, intercultural aspects will be in focus which are important for the understanding of the respectively other culture. A basic knowledge of the respective language is required.
The course "Russian Grammar for Advanced Learners I" is directed towards students who would like to improve their comprehension of Russian grammar and use the language more sophisticatedly, to increase their active and passive language competence. Apart from theoretical input various practical exercises will be offered, which will also be concerned with translational and communicative aspects. Level B1 is required.

Module "Interdisciplinary Language Learning"
In the academic year 2022/23 you can once again register for the popular module "Interdisciplinary Language Learning". The 8 courses look at the topic of "language" from different perspectives: ranging from "language and identity" to "language and management" and "language and art". Upon successful completion you will receive a certificate and 1.5 ECTS per course!

Module "Language Learning with Adults"
This module is directed towards adult education language teachers, and those interested in developing their skills in this field, such as language students and future educators. Through the additional training for adult education you will receive practical training, a qualitative improvement of your teaching skills as well as basic knowledge of adult education and university didactics. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate and 1.5 ECTS for each course .

We would like to make you aware of an additional offer which is free of charge for all language learners: language learning partnerships! Enter into a language learning partnership with fellow students whose native language you want to learn and get to know more about the respectively other culture while improving your language proficiency in a casual atmosphere.
