Foreign Language Courses

Semester Courses

The Semester Courses are designed for students and employees of the University of Graz, students from other university educational institutions and external participants.

Preparatory Language Courses

The Preparatory Language Courses prepare students of Romance, Slavic and Translation Studies for the language education of their study programs. The courses can also be attended by students of other study programs.

Intensive Courses in February

The Intensive Courses are designed for students and employees of the University of Graz, students from other university educational institutions and external participants.

Organization

The number of participants for each course is limited. The minimum number of participants is 15 per course. treffpunkt sprachen reserves the right to cancel courses. A refund of the course fee is only possible if a course is cancelled and if the necessary bank details are transferred in time.
1 semester hour per week (1 hr) – 1,5 ECTS credits, 2 semester hours per week (2 hrs) – 3 ECTS credits, 4 semester hours per week (4 hrs) – 6 ECTS credits
Course certificate for students: 80 % attendance, active participation, achievement of course goals, assignments, written or oral exam at the end of the semester, printable via UNIGRAZonline several weeks after the end of the course. University staff and external participants: Participants can choose between a confirmation of participation with grade or a confirmation of attendance. Confirmation of participation with grade: Assessment activity required: Both the midterm and the final exam must be taken. Attendance of at least 70% is mandatory. Confirmation of attendance: No assessment activity required: Attendance of at least 70% is sufficient.
